TIPS & TRICKS

For maximum action, make sure that the tail is aligned on the hinge pin centered within the back opening of the head.

To add some noise to the action, stick a cutoff ball-headed clothespin into the tip of the diverter flap on the tail which beat on the interior walls of the head to create a rattling sound.

Vary the retrieve with intermittent pauses. Fish will often strike on the pause.

In open water, orient the double-hook with the hooks facing down for maximum hookset. I vegetation or other heavy cover reverse the double hook so the hooks are facing up to minimize hang-ups and debri collection.

Maximum action will occur with the rod tip pointed down near the water during retrieval.
